We don't make a huge fuss about Christmas visually around here. No tree, no carols, our fairy lights are not seasonal but a genuine outdoor lighting choice and the mistletoe I made from felt and hung in the doorway is more of an excuse to kiss and a chance to debate the Winter seasonal tones to our southern hemisphere Summer festivities than any true decoration. But the acid lollies on the table with their snowy dusting of icing sugar seem like celebration enough at this early stage of December.
