waxeyes and blossoms.

The blossoms in the tree outside our window have really taken off since it snowed.

Today was such a lovely sunny day that after I had a lunch of bread and pate in the melting sun on the balcony and watched birds having sex amoung the flowers, I wore a skirt and went for a walk to post letters.

The blossoms come with their own little ecosystem including bees, waxeyes like this chap eating honey scented nectar, and big fat wood pigeons that eat the flowers whole.

I am very much enjoying the coming of spring, one lady said out side my window this morning, taking in our blossom tree, in a very jolly voice "Spring really has sprung, hasn't it?"
