9am: Breakfast on the balcony, orange and lime tea, cinnamon toast and an apple.
10am: Chris and I biked out to the farmers market at Riccarton Bush.
11am: At the farmers market, got lots of yummy things.
12pm: We had a picnic with some of the things we got at the market; pakoras, walnuts, a cream bun for Chris, stuffed vine leaves and apples.
1pm: I made a paper boat and launched it into the river. We had been watching the ducklings but they ran away.
And a walk in Riccarton Bush under a blossom tree that was shedding clouds of petals.
2pm: The first daisy chain of the season.
3pm: Back home for walnut ginger honey on toast and feijoa cidar with The Great Gatsby on the balcony.
4pm: Still reading. "In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars."
5pm: Chris' friend Finn came round to play computer games and eat all the food.
6pm: Dinner; smoked chicken sandwiches. num num num.
7pm: Tasting a lemonade. Chris tricked me saying you could eat the skin, but the fruit inside was very sweet.
9pm: Skipped an hour, we hung around at home not doing a heap and at nine went for a walk around the event tents.
10pm: Chris made us some hot chocolate.
